Although we were closed over the Christmas period there was some major work going on at the Centre.
Unfortunately we had to have our oak tree taken down due to disease. It was estimated that the tree was 220-250 years old. The work was planned to take one day and we had to close part of Blendworth Lane whilst it took place. However, it took longer than expected and we had to get an emergency extension on the road closure for an extra day. You can see from the pictures how big a job it was. Blendworth Tree Surgeons did a brilliant job and were in a lift that went up to 82ft high! Our team also did a brilliant job when they returned to work of moving all of the wood to our paddock area where we have been splitting it. We hope you had a lovely Christmas! Here are some pictures of our team on the day of their Christmas meal. Blendworth Church Hall kindly let us use their hall again this year which the team love because they have space to mingle and dance! On our last day before the Christmas break we had some drinks and nibbles...
